Wonderful Weardale and Teesdale!

Unread postby OldProf » Sun Sep 27, 2015 9:09 am

After spending some time doubting, I bought this route on sale and downloaded several shunting scenarios for it from Steam Workshop. What I had imagined as a fairly small and simple, predominantly passenger route turned out to be full of yard areas of all kinds and sizes, right up to gigantic Darlington (hope I've remembered the name correctly). This is a freight nut's dream route that offers infinite shunting possibilities.

Many thanks and kudos to Derek!

No problem, hertsbob here on the forums laid the monster track network. towards the end there were a few people to thank.

teamwork is the only really way to get things done. No man is an island so to speak.

This network has many routes and many different ways to drive it, something for everyone I think.

Anyway, really glad you are enjoying it. I am very proud of it and got to show it off at Shildon Locomotion Museum (which is part of the NRM here in the UK and only 2 mile from my home town.) a few weekends back.

The software can be frustrating at times and boy do I know it, but the things you can do and achieve is wonderful. This software has been part of my life for almost a quarter of it and I am amazed at how much enjoyment I get from it.

cheers

And TobBirk has written some dandy Workshop scenarios for it. Don't miss those. Many wonderful hours inhabiting this fully realized slice of UK rail history awaits.
