In the latter, there's a USF CO1 flatcar with a trailer load that would have been ideal for this route, had anyone at DTG bothered to do a bit of looking). And that's just to mention a few of the many possibilities.

I don't mean to be 'that guy' but the TOFC equipment from the DLC you mentioned above is in fact unbranded. (see picture below) If you are thinking of the 'FedEx, and UPS' repaints of them, they are freeware repaints that were made by a fan. The Feather River models would be a great start for a similar freeware repaint with some brands as they are at least the correct type and scale.

Freeware repaints of SD75 DLC TOFC Cars, next to freeware models of correct proportions on mounted on RSDL car.

The RSC/DTG trailers are exactly the same in most DLC.
The dents etc are the give away.
That never bothered me though.
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

Actually, my OP was more about visual quality than about branding: the trailers included with FRC (see image in OP) look out of focus, especially the tires, but also the back end of the trailer. By, "generic white", I meant the trailer's color, not its lack of publicity. Buzz may think what he likes, but there's more to this thread than simple "bitching": I'm not the usual griper who whines or barks about physics, sounds, etc. I just live with most of those more technical issues. What irks me is that this is rolling stock included with a brand new DTG route that looks like very outdated RS equipment. Perhaps, as a fan and maker of switching scenarios who looks at rolling stock from all angles and close up, I see details that fans of long-hauling. Those, like me, who pay forty bucks for this DLC package deserve better, especially since DTG has better work among its existing stock. When I buy a suit, I don't expect the pockets to be made out of cheap, old fabric; when I buy a new, 2016 route at a 2016 price, I don't expect rolling stock to be made up of cheap, old oddments.

Bitching? not really -- I'm ranting and I maintain my right to do so.

Bitching, but since you are one of the known grumps around here and you don't make a practice of it I'll let it slide. !*lho*!

Just wanted to show the "Kiddies" on this forum one of the most popular, coast to coast trucking company's lettering.
I remember these as a kid in Chicago.
Hand painted on corrugated trailers. Sadly the Company's long gone.

When you haven't played the DLC for more than 2 hours, you can return it and get a refund through Steam.

Try before you permanently buy is probably better with current DLC from DTG.

Given the observations and comments made here and elsewhere, I'll wait for a suitably discounted offer before picking up this route.

Really positive. I am going to write this route up as a great addition well worth the money and will give anyone who isn't a total nitpicker hours and hours of enjoyment.

Your mileage may vary, so the saying goes.

I was really looking forward to this route myself and willing to spend this month's gaming allowance on it. But after watching the Twitch, reading the manual and following the threads here and elsewhere I was somewhat let down.
IMO, it isn't equal to the MSTS route, nor does it offer the value I expect from a full price purchase. The truncation bothers me the most, physics and sound be improved by the community, but details omitted can not.

Perhaps when the Zephyr comes, there will be a suitable combined offer and I might reconsider.

A route's popularity is often measured by the number of Workshop scenarios. If it has sufficient and lasting play value, there will be a continuous flow of Workshop scenarios.

We'll see over the coming weeks how things evolve.

That's about all from me on this subject.

I agree, buzz, but my disappointment with the trailers remains genuine, especially given the other choices they had available in their "parts department".

Make a couple fictitious ones Buzz, like... "Pallen Trucking"
Or... how about this "Tom's Hauling"

You guys are sure clever! Now go tease someone about physics mods, horn mods, bell mods, tree mods, or mod mods. Or maybe just go drive a train?

I'm just yankin' yer chain. *!!wink!!*

You do have a valid point in that there's little consistency for the route as a whole. Great modeling and textures in some parts, yet a stone age effort elsewhere. I suppose that's why I choose to do as much of my own work without farming it to others. This may not make me a team player, but at least I know nothing will stand out of place (that's my hope anyway). :D
Cheers!
