Honestly I'd like to see some GM&O/ICG/IC routes, like the Alton or some of their branch operations....
Wishful thinking, I'll likely never see an ICG GP38AC/-2 in the sim, at least for a looongggg time

If that's the case, I will wait for the release version of TSW!

DTG specified 3 ways to get TSW beta --one way was if you had 5 specificaly named routes you would get TSW beta free. You people kill me !*hp*!

I'm afraid I don't really understand the smug superiority. The convention in gaming, particularly Steam games, is that if you pay for early access in some substantial way, but often at a reduced price, you get the full version of the game. DTG certainly didn't promise that, but neither, until just now, did they stipulate that wasn't the case. It wasn't unreasonable to wonder about the relation between access to Beta and the full game, particularly since no real details about the Beta were offered.

As it turns out, unless you already have the routes of the Pioneer edition, which you bought at some point, buying that edition or even just the remaining routes you don't already have for access to a 12 day Beta is a poor trade unless you like ALL of those routes. The marketing rather prominently features that access as a reason to buy the Pioneer edition. Seems very little real value to me.

Yes, but why would one go and buy the routes they don't have now, when they will all be 75% off with the purchase of the pioneer package? Buying some routes I'll never use for 12 days of beta access seems like a pretty poor deal though.

Wait, so if you buy some specific TS2016/17 routes, you get a temporary beta for free? How much does the actual beta cost? And would it be cheaper just to buy the Beta if you so desperately want it, instead of buying 5 or so routes you may or may not have?

Agreed, with all credit to DTG, the chart and article explain everything pretty thoroughly.
