RWA up and down

Unread postby AmericanSteam » Fri Jun 07, 2024 11:51 pm

For the last 2 days I have intermittently not been able to log in to RWA. The web page does not load. An error message about an expired domain pops up or I get a white page. Several others are having the same issue. Post is over on Steam forums. I tried with 2 different browsers, changed DNS servers. The issue is with RWA only. Trainsim.com is also reporting issues with RWA. **!!bang!!**

I did not have issues until this morning. For me yesterday was OK and this afternoon and evening OK as well.
Obviously, it´s intermittent for every one of us.

Our domain registration did expire yesterday and, depending on your DNS cache, the site was unreachable or difficult to reach for a few hours.
That's all settled now, and the problems should disappear, again depending on your DNS cache.

How to flush your DNS cache: Open a run command as Administrator, then type ipconfig /flushdns
Note space between g and/

Yesterday it seemed fine after the fix. But this morning it is up and down and up and . . . .

Interesting how on my laptop I get a blank screen and on my phone I get . . . . .

All good here since the "re-opening".

The nice lady said it might have issues in some locations worldwide for another 24-48 hours. Here it's been working fine since 20 minutes after I got off the phone with her yesterday. So just take a chill pill and relax. The notice for the domain expiring was going to Bob so we didn't even know it was coming up. Both Chacal and I have reached out to him but so far no answer. Has anyone seen or heard from him lately? He hasn't been on here since the 2nd.

Here is going well this morning.
Happy to hear everything is in the path of being solved. !*cheers*!

Due to the signaling tutorials purposes, I was about to find out in these last days, for Bob whereabouts. It´s now I realize that even you can´t reach him. *!sad!*

Well we routinely e-mail him and we do have his address and phone number. It's just that we're reluctant to intrude into his private life.
