Oovee SD40 Replacement Sounds - Opinions Please

Unread postby FHRob » Sun May 01, 2016 7:19 pm

I'm interested in hearing what others think about this package.

According to posts on the Oovee forum, there's been some problems downloading and installing the files.

Thanks,

Rob :D

Excellent! A massive improvement over the default sounds. However some horns are converted from MSTS so some of them aren't exactly crisp.

This is a excellent package and all you really need to do is actually follow the instructions. I D/L the thing and installed it with no problems. It is a huge improvement from the stock sounds.

If you get this be aware that you must install ver1 then 1.1 then 1.2 for this to work correctly. They will all show up after you click on download version 1.2.

Anthony

I installed the download that you sent me again and the other two files version 1.1 and version 1.2
Not sure what to do with those two files? I can only copy them to my desktop page and there is nothing more to do with them.
My sounds have not changed in any of my engines yet, so I must be doing something wrong.
How can I delete these files completely so I can start installing them over to get the sound files working.

Thanks for your help !

Both the 40Seriesv1.1.zip and the EMD+40+Series+Patch+V1.2.zip file contain folders inside them. Unpack those two zip files separately and copy and paste the contents into your Assets folder: C:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets

When asked to overwrite any existing files, make sure to click yes. Also make sure to first do this with the v1.1.zip and then reapeat the process with the v.1.2 zip file, otherwise certain files may not work properly.

Thank you Kevin for the info. It worked.
I had no clue what to do with those two files.
These sounds are worth the effort to get them running.

thanks so much.

Yeah he paid for it, the instructions must not have been clear enough however. Glad you're enjoying it?
