Hello, As to the above pictures and post regarding window dimensions I noted this also and have found this also to be very obvious in several British locomotive addons ( Dimensions typically too large/ deep leaving the bodywork/ negative space between the glazing rather too small). When referring to period images it becomes very apparent.

It is an unfortunate distraction as otherwise I like this locomotive and Cesar Pachs other UP models very much. I particularly like the Booster unit....it would be good to see more B units modelled in time. The UP armor yellow on this model is actually very nice I think....although colour can be subjective. However, if theres anyway the window dimension can be corrected this very nice model would become even better.

Thanks to Cesar Pach for his interesting models and continued work.

Improper window dimensions and proportions are also apparent in many MSTS models, and models for other sims no doubt.
Often the creators have to work from drawings or photographs which aren't exactly to scale or distorted, or drawn wrong in the first place. Some older models even seem to be created off plastic model trains, which suffer from the same problems due to molding limitations.

I prefer a good forwards view and the cab view is a separate model, so I look over that easily. Perhaps the outer model can have properly proportioned windows? But then other players will complain about that. *!lol!*

I agree with you over Cesar's models, the are great. He has done a lot for the US Railworks community, and more is still to come from him. Plus, he reads, posts and discusses here, and uses our input in future improvements.

Oh now.
Be careful when posting pics of that 844, it's right in my back yard. In fact I heard her horn this afternoon while putting together a new office chair for myself. *!greengrin!*

If I remember right, that pic is when it was freshly delivered from U.P. to the Nevada Southern a few years back. Right now it's in those same cloths, but very faded.

The only thing the NS did, was to give the prime mover some new rings and a minor overhaul. She blew a little too much smoke when they got her. She also still wears a specially designed guard to keep her from spitting on passersby on the platform. I don't think anyone has figured out why she "spits" out oil on one side occasionally, kinda like a camel. *!greengrin!*

It didn't originally have a White number-board correct?

Two very picky questions after watching the video: 1) does the beacon light on the A unit work and does its presence indicate that this engine also performed switching duties and b) by any chance, has Cesar figured out how to make the mirrors reflective? [Since other surfaces are reflective in TS, it makes no sense to me that mirrors can't be so.]

Thanks for the heads-up about this. All of the cars should be using the same couplers as the engine, at least that's what was planned. We'll investigate what may have gone wrong there.

Cheers
