Members online visiting the forum

Unread postby jalsina » Fri Sep 27, 2024 9:44 am

I am observing since yesterday in "Who is Online" at the bottom of the main intro page, of about 160 RWA users online when it is usually below 20. Nearly all those 160 are guests.
What is it going on? Are those bots camping in RWA? Or is it dangerous for RWA?

I'm certainly not sure what the interest is but at this point there has been no hostile or other action.

Look at the guests. I wiped them off two or three times and they just return in a few minutes.

Some user has gotten a poorly written DDOS virus and not know it. They also may have screwed with it in an attempt fix it, resulting corruption. By leaving a file open and then going to RWA it probably copied to the virus. The IP does not matter because the virus will mask that. The fact that you terminate the guest user and it immediately reconnects pretty much proves this. OR - your server has some serious crapola going on (which I doubt).
