This is exciting news. This up date will help to eliminate quite a few crashes and get the platform ready for future updates to multi-threading and DX12.This shows they are in this for the long haul. In my opinion because TSW does not have an editor this is why DTG has made the decision to invest in this platform.

Quite interesting. Stability and performance are prioritized over bells and whistles, you don't see this often anymore in game development.

The update is live and my computer just got the update. Fingers crossed that all still works.

Can anyone confirm as to whether or not the update did anything to downloaded third-party content?

This was a very small and quick update. New version 73.6a
Going to try the editor and stress test to see if it OOM's on me.
Still crashes on the QD consist builder.
This update broke the game for me. When selecting any route from any of the drive menus the game quits responding.
I tried to make a report but the link took me to a page with "forbidden" at the top.

It appears that all my 3rd-party content is still there. I tested 2 routes and 3 engines and all seems fine. However, I've had several Out of Memory crashes with an engine I've been working on. I've been having these crashes for sometime now and had hoped this update might resolve this issue. Oh well.

Well, I guess I didn't get the real update. I restarted Steam earlier and got an update from TSC, but the version still showed 72.3b. Just restarted Steam again and it showed an update queued. Guess this is the 73.6a.

First run of my wip engine on 73.6a gave me the dreaded OOM. Some things don't change.

Received the update earlier today and spent a few hours going through 3rd party stuff and all seems to be okay so far. Checked my stuff in the editor as well and didn't find anything not working as before.

Of course they are reporting problems there. Some of them have problems getting up in the morning.

Happy that everything is working for you . I can run TSC by accessing everything through the editor. It seems to have issues indexing the routes during initialization.
