Looking for a route recommendation
Posted: Fri Aug 26, 2022 3:36 amNot usually something I would ask, but I am looking for a route recommendation. With Mike's Clinchfield Challengers and the Machine Rail Western Maryland H8's, I am looking for an appropriate eastern route.
I am aware of the Clinchfield route and the B & O Mountain Sub routes, and am looking as to which way to go. Dont know much about the Clinchfield route; how steam friendly is it? Are there any steam facilities. I am rubbish at route building so would struggle to back date it. I have seen some info on the B&O route, and I think I remember old steam facilities.
Given the cost of it all being not much change from a local "Benjamin" between locomotives and a route, really want to make the right decision.
