I am back

Unread postby artimrj » Tue Jul 21, 2020 3:00 pm

Got dizzy at work Saturday and was running a slight fever so I went to the emergency room to see if I had the virus. Test positive at first and the second test they did Monday was negative. They told me they think I just had heat exhaustion. Sucks staying in the hospital with all the other sick people. No idea what you might catch. Only thing wrong with me is my blood pressure is slightly high. I blame that on work as I do way too much any more. Was doing double duty when my student went on vacation, then he didn't come back the next week as his grandmother died. I was doing my work and his 12 hours a day. I got compensated for all the extra work I did including over time. I have the best boss in the world, the one everyone would like to have. I'll be retiring in about a year and half. Can't wait.

Glad you're okay. Take it easy my friend, we're not getting any younger.

Thanks Jim. I know we are not getting any younger, but I really don't want to be younger any more. I like where I am at and would rather stay here. :)

Get yourself a countdown clock and look forward to that retirement day.
I sit in my back yard in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch everybody driving to work. I love it and so will you.

Glad you're back and that it wasn't more serious. If your boss will give you a couple of days to stand down, take them. I'll echo what the others have said: that year and a half will go by quicker than you think. I'm looking forward to hoisting a couple for you when you do.

In the meantime, pace yourself in this heat.

There have been cases where carriers have been asympomatic. Not alleging anything. But going by what I've read in the news, you cannot be too overcautious with this disease.

If you were born in 10/1991 , then 2061 will be when you turn 70. In 55 years, you will be 83 going on 84.
