yeah well almost all CN locos have snowplows on them. except for the SD45T-2 but that is because they got those when they bought DMIR.

Well I have gathered a rather large selection of images of SW1500's now and I can say that they all seem ever so slightly different.
The lights on this CN livery match where I placed mine.

I have added the filters to the smoke stack and will add the gubbins to the roof if I get chance this weekend.

well i guess they all vary because CN never had any made for them, they just bought second hand or got them when they bought other railroads. although most have been altered to CN standards like add a snowplow.

The CN SW1500 (or the one the model was well modeled after at least) is a Wisconsin Central unit. Note the WC sub-lettering. Which in turn came from the Southern Pacific. That's the reason for the headlight off-centered, WC removed the SP light package.

As for a future repaint something local to me: New York New Jersey Rail.

I will repaint a few.

Juniata Terminal (its my favorite livery on a SW1500)
New Jersey Transit #502

And the final will be: http://www.kahndog.com/Photogallery/May ... on-423.jpg

Cause it looks darn good.

I've got better since I last touched the PP SW1500s so I hope I can do the new model justice.

Then hopefully I can tackle a job I need to do for someone else.

I noticed the BN SW1500 has the yellow beacon on the cab roof, any idea if it will work? IE the rotary "on/off" or a steady light like the headlights.

If it's a working light it should be a strobe, not a rotating beacon light (AFAIK, anyways)
