Doesn't work. Also no flashing ditchlights and the dynamic brake is also not working.

I was trying to figure out what you meant by this - for some reason I was thinking of the DB ICE add-on from German Railways.

Which BTW I just placed in 30th St. station, and it seems to work fine. No cab signals, of course, and the pantograph is set too low. The AFT is calibrated in km/hr, but otherwise works. I was really looking for a good electrified route where I can open that thing up and let it really run.

In fact the ICE 1 really drove on the NEC in the 90s for some months.
Deutsche Bahn (DB) and Amtrak tested it because Amtrak was looking for a good high speed train.
Unfortunately they eventually took a modified TGV instead - the Acela.

Yeah, I know the history there....

The ICE tops out at 300km/h, or about 186mph, and it handled it just fine. At least until I got to Newark and found most of the tracks blocked with other trains !*hp*!. No doubt there was a way through, but I had a fast train that was way over the speed limit and the station comes up fast *!greengrin!*.

In real life it would have been an uncomfortable ride I imagine.

I imagine that in a week or two we will have the real Acela and some more scenarios to run..

The only thing greater then the NEC for Railworks was Tom Carissimi's announcement video of it. All hail the king.

Is this skydome "TS 2012" ready. Just noticed how blurry and hazy it is regardless of what weather system I use. Clouds don't actually appear as clouds, they appear as smoke.

I'm sorry *!!wink!!* , but the Acela is not a modified TGV, the only part that come from the TGV are the asynchronous traction motors. The Acela power car, and HHP-8 locomotive design is based upon french locomotive BB36000 "Astride" from Alstom. The cars come mainly from Bombardier and the conception is different from TGV cars, indeed TGV cars have only one truck between the cars instead of two trucks below the car, unlike classical cars on a train. The conception of Acela is closer to ICE than TGV.

About AEM-7, have you try the speed control and turn the wheel to select the speed in the cabine ? It's working fine, like a cruise control on a highway ! :D
