We are about 90 miles from the epicenter, and we definitely felt it.

If you were going to add an earthquake to a scenario, Cajon pass would be the place to do it. Once RS2012 comes out with cab sway, you might even be able to model it somehow or another.

I live about half the year in Bucharest which is bang slap in the middle of an earthquake zone. Basically the rule of thumb is small regular earthquakes are best because when you go for a long while without one then you are building up to a big one.

That said, living on the 10th floor of a Ceaucescu-era block does not give me much hope of getting out if/when the big one hits.

Not really looking forward to the NEC route. I haven't lost anything in New York (or Philly), so i've had no reason to go there.

Give me Horseshoe Curve, or give me Death! Waiting with intense anticipation for TS2012!

Just east of Philly here, and yeah, it was some pretty decent shaking. No damage in the area that I know of, just had the light fixtures and shelving at work swaying a bit, almost had some boxes fall off the top shelves though.

Been in So Cal for 51 years now, so I've felt them all. We have minor ones all the time, and they predict "The Biog One" in the next 10 years, at least a 7.0. Gurantee 'ya, there will be a lot of derailments, not just cab sway. !*hp*!

Since there has been NO advertisement that the NEC will be released tomorrow, how confident is everyone that this will happen?

i am confident that it will be either tomorrow or friday....expecting that steam dosen't screw them over again. RS.com is very good with keeping on schedual compaired to other companys, their train almost alwayse arrives on time. (there was that 1 time it was their fault but nobody was complaning, and then the other time it was steams fault, but other than that it was on time!)

It just puzzels me that they would not be advertising this, even on the RW loading advertisement window.

It's going to be weird running this section of the NEC with no NJT.. The Acela will eventually fill some of the void but.. We need to scheme a good, abeit fake service to fill in until someone, or RSC gets crackin on NJT train sets.

We need SEPTA too. SEPTA regional operates out of 30th st. It will also be interesting to see if the Market-Frankford Line part of 30th St is included, since it's the same building but the track doesn't connect to the NEC.

I think someone could repaint the P40DC's into the NJT Scheme to start off with. I Guess you can also repaint the MK3 Coaches. Remember it took years for MSTS to get real NJT and even the AEM-7 trains for the NEC. It will come sooner or later. I think if we get enough people to petition for some Local trains RSC may consider it.

Just realized, it's the 25th, and since RSC is UK, I would expect the NEC to be out anywhere from 6-12 hours from now! !*YAAA*!

Don't forget, Steam is on the west coast, so it's gonna be Pacific time, then factor in "Valve Time". !*roll-laugh*! Unless they are releasing it thru another channel, which is unlikely.
