I am guessing with 2 Pennsy boxes announced, that means no steam *!sad!*

Oh well...

Doesn't mean we can't add it in. PRR didn't eliminate steam until 1957. Given the hints the devs have dropped, looks like the route is set around 1954-1955. This route should open up the door for some re-skins & new steam locos that would look great!

I just spent a couple of hours going through my two volumes of "Pennsy Power" and have come to the conclusion that for the time frame that's been suggested, the early to mid 1950's, there are only five classes of steam locomotives that would have been in regular service on the "curve". Pensy used the late class H consolidations, I1s and I1sa decapods, J and J1 Texas, M1a & M1b mountains and of coure the K4 pacific. I know there are a lot of people begging for a class T but sadly, these were long gone by the mid '50s. Five classes is actually not really too much to hope for, even if they were spread over a couple of years. And let's face it, the last time I checked only two of these, the I1 and the k4 were actually available for MSTS.

Now, don't get me started on diesels.

The T-1 would sure be nice because of its uniqueness, but personally I hope for the M1b and K4. These locos are so good looking.

M1b: http://www.altoonaworks.info/pics/l-myers/rrmpa_26.jpg
T1: http://www.altoonaworks.info/pics/vinta ... can_21.jpg
K4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTVjbeRBWWk (those PRR whistles are great...!)

Since no screens of steamers have been released in conjunction with the route screens, and that would be a huge selling point...I'm guessing they will be an add-on pack, if they're made by RSC.

So, I just read through the entire 10 pages, and all I can say is WOW! My wallet is going to hate me for awhile. Not only did I drop $500 on a new rig and $20 on a new wireless adapter with a long range antenna (300 mbps), now I'll not only have (yes, I have to, don't argue! LOL) to buy the NEC, P42DC genesis AND Horseshoe Curve! :D

I think I'm def. going to buy Horseshoe Curve first! :D

This was formerly on the Train Artisan website, which is now down.

I believe this was going to be the first MSTS 2 which was canceled.

Would be nice to have one of these to go with the Horseshoe Curve!

Whatever happened to Train Artisan anyways? After MSTS-2 was cancelled, they started to work on their own simulator, which actually had Multiplayer (they had video of it), but after about a year of working on their own simulator...they dropped off the map.

Cyrus went on to start a new game company (IE) responsible for "Tribes" and several other titles. He later sold the company and went on to consult and develop with other game companies.
Cheers!
