Searchlight Simulations enhancements information

Unread postby jalsina » Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:48 pm

This is an Excel work (converted to pdf) I recently did, presenting the information of the 8 available enhancement packages that have been distributed by Searchlight SImulations along the years.
It includes 5 columns:
1-Engine
2-Prime movers - Enabling asset (in the editor)
3-Prime movers - Name of the installer file exe distributed by SS.
4-Assets DLCs supported by each pack (distributer and name of each DLC).
5-Name of the manual plus the locomotives enhanced for each pack.

The table is included here as a JPEG and besides as a downloadable pdf (which is better to read).

I hope this is helpful for all players and designers that use the Searchlight Simulations enhancements, like I do.

I wish someone could convert their diesels to simple controls.

Right. Sometimes those advanced engines are overwhelming when trying to drive them, though I have learned to go with their SD40-2 JR locos.
Now, the GE AC4400CW and the EMD SD70ACU seem pretty hard to manage, so I have declined to get them (so far). We´ll see when they come back to business and release the GE AC4400CW - UP.
