As far as the question as to why certain simulators can still use licensing on their brands, I have two theories. 1.) There could be a licensing agreement in place that predates the exclusion. Some licensing is for three years or so. some is for infinity as long as the rules are followed, 2.) BIG POCKETBOOKS. When I went after UP licensing, DTG was renewing theirs with UP as well. I was told that they no longer made agreements of this type for railroad simulators. All I got was an offer to sign some bull$&!* agreement saying anything I made with their logo on it I would give away for free. However, DTG was able go renew theirs. So who knows, maybe if someone throws enough cash at BNSF, it might resolve the issue.
