Graphics problem

Been playing with the new 3D weather and discovered something out of whack. If I am below a signal looking upward to the sky I get a black square around them. Looking downward it goes away.

That happened a lot in FSX and it could be due to the graphics driver settings, it could have been due to the enhancement which is "causing" the delayed texture loading.
No matter how fast the pc is the texture may not load entirely/correctly until the view point is moved ie in effect you have refreshed the screen draw. There is a "new" (to me) monitor setting in TS 2015 called "borderless" might be worth a try to see if the effect is any better in that mode?
You could also try locking the frames via a command line in TS2015 - they are less likely to appear with locked frame rates.

I have a strong feeling this is a 'thing' which has now been fixed, but hasn't had the fix released as yet.

Going borderless did not help. Neither did an hour and a half cache verify. Guess I will wait longer to see what fixes come through. Curious to see what they will do about all the unhappy campers.

Before you zoom-in the picture, they look like square search light signals.

This reminds of when my graphics settings were reduced, there were floating signal bridges with black square targets behind the signals.

Signals dont only have this problem, some of the Locomotives do too like the BN SD40-2.

Unfortunately *!sad!* it may not be viewed by RSC/DTG as a fault as it could be specific to a set of users/pc's/drivers/card settings, etc or part of how the graphics engine renders things like lights. It was difficult to eliminate in FSX with no real "cure" found.

It only happens if I choose a 3D weather for a scenario. It doesn't do it with standard weathers.

You have something wrong (or something misconfigured) in your simulator (or in your pc). All that you show, it works for me properly with 3D weather.

I don't think so. I was able to play on other routes last night and it does not do it on the NERW route or the original Lakeside! Duh! Very confusing. I will get to test other routes more this weekend. It is doing it to me and ozinoz on the LSW extension to Lakeside though. I am not alone in this ordeal. Read several other reports of it elsewhere.

This is a known issue and only shows when you look at some stuff with the 3D weather behind it.
One of the transparencies of the item does not work against the 3D weather and shows the square around it. Editing the transparency of the assets is the only solution.

Are we editting a texture or a bin file? What do we do to change it? Make transparency black or white?

Without the source files, you would need to edit the .GeoPcDx (model) file and change the material properties of the shader used. Not an easy task! That said, however, it appears that not everyone is experiencing the issue, which leads me to believe it may be a video driver issue.

I also am inclined to that theory.
To them that happens, Do you guys have updated the graphics drivers?
Do you have some special setting for the simulator in your graphics card control panel?
