After the 2015 update my Sim just won't run

Hi All,
Steam has downloaded and installed the 2015 update and when I go to run on any route it dumps to the desktop with a "Railworks has stopped working" message or the dialog box about creating a dump file. I did the "verify game integrity" and after it reinstalled over 3,000 files it still does the same thing. I'm not sure where to go from here and any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm tech savvy enough to edit and dive into files if needed just don't know where to look. Thank you for any help

Sometimes when you have verified a large number of files like you did you need to run the verify more than once. I suggest you do that until it says it verified no new files. Let us know if that worked.

Ok I'll give it a shot

It says all files are verified but it still dumps to home screen. I'm trying to open the Pacific Surfliner and the first career scenario. Its just default stuff but no luck

Run logmate and see what makes it stop. There are several threads here about it if you are not familiar. It's in your Railworks folder. Just start it and then start RW. It will tell you where it crashes in the program. If we find that we can see what needs to be fixed.

I attached the log file. for some reason it's crashing on the RWA RS-1 xml. it can't locate the blueprints. I'm not trying to load that route though. Also throwing runtime errors about duplicate scenarios.

I'd worry more about this:
Duplicate Scenario GUID in SerializeDatabase

This means you have more than one copy of the same scenario files.
This is not supposed to happen.
Did you manually copy a scenario folder?

Otherwise this could be a sign that your TS2015 installation is broken and you may have to delete and reinstall.
That's not a problem that a local verify can fix.

Also, look closely in the whole log for any mention of pONTrack.bin.

I backed up my assets and content folders. I don't have that much stuff that a reinstall won't be too hard. I had never copied and pasted scenarios. Not sure how I have duplicates.

When a person copies and pastes a backup, they need to click on the options to overwrite and replace, otherwise it will blend things and/or put and identical folder in the affected folder.
The assets haven't changed, just the core programing this time, so if you delete your Assets and Content folders from the new 2015 install, then copy and paste the 2014 backup folders for Assets and Content, back into the Railworks (2015) folder, you should be good to go.
Just remember to delete the 2015 Content and Assets folders first. (or rename them)
Maybe clear the Blueprint Cache in Tools first.

Be careful there, stuff was added to the Kuju folders for 2015.

ok I deleted the Assets and Content folders and copied over my back-ups. The routes seem to load fine but now I don't have any route pictures in the start up menu.

Well I completely removed Railworks and associated folders then re-installed through Steam and the core of everything is working. I just have to put a few things back and try to remember my video settings but it wasn't too bad. thanks again to everyone that helped *!!thnx!!*

Thanks for that bit of info Bob. I didn't know that. !*salute*!
Speaking of moving files around, I think the cache verify is leaving my mods alone this time... Anyone else experienced this?

That's a common issue, DTG is working on that.

After a complete re-download and install everything including the route pictures are working. Hopefully it will stay working for a little while
