When a person copies and pastes a backup, they need to click on the options to overwrite and replace, otherwise it will blend things and/or put and identical folder in the affected folder.
The assets haven't changed, just the core programing this time, so if you delete your Assets and Content folders from the new 2015 install, then copy and paste the 2014 backup folders for Assets and Content, back into the Railworks (2015) folder, you should be good to go.
Just remember to delete the 2015 Content and Assets folders first. (or rename them)
Maybe clear the Blueprint Cache in Tools first.

Be careful there, stuff was added to the Kuju folders for 2015.
