Well, 2015 has downloaded and installed. New opening movie, new menus and like every update from Rail Works / Dovetail Games, my route crashes to the desktop. Also not sure why half of my RW D/L content like Donner Pass no longer has it's icon in the route selection menu?

<Update>

It appears the menu items are slowly loading as I play the game. My route is still crashing to the desktop, but the Horse curve route seems to be working OK. I've tried clearing the game cache, but that has not helped with my route. I'm also noticing a strange distant mountain issue with the new skies.

One good thing for the VRC folks, the new CSX GP40-2 that is used in the helper scenario seems to be working properly. Before I forget, the opening movie can be switched off in one of the settings options. As I'm typing I'm trying a restart of the Steam program in hopes my route will become available.

Havent had much time to check things, late for work already *!sad!* Anyhow, Donner Pass icon and others are gone, just like Rich_s said. Im sure a patch sometime will fix that. My route loads just fine, thankfully.. !!*ok*!! Will have to check the new features tomorrow.

Acela worked fine for me - no passenger view still though.

Academy however seems definitely broken.

I have to say that the sim downloaded very well and installed perfectly with no problems.

Also, I have to say that I'm impressed with the new Train Simulator 2015. It's working extremely well for me and the Riverland Lines route opened up and ran extremely well with very very little shutter problems and high graphics.

Now with legacy mode gone TSX is actually running very well on my computer with high graphics and play, except for weather or night with headlights. Still can't run with the weather on or the lighting on because then I begin to have shuttering problems again.

But all in all, I'm impressed with TS 2015 and glad that I can still run the sim.

Also, the blueprint editor still is working perfectly, so back to model creation.

Yes, there are new Gizmo's in the world editor and scenario editor. Now to find the manual and see what they are for? All in all the download went smooth, No issues so far loading the HSC and MGA Routes, menus are pretty much user friendly and the only downside is my Montour route will not load a free roam scenario or in the world editor.

OK, this is odd. Both my Montour route and the Bay of Quinte routes would not load after the installation of TS 2015. While checking other routes I loaded the Cajon route into the world editor. When exiting, the world editor told me it needed to save the Cajon route? I had not made any changes while in the route, but simply loaded to the route just to make sure it would load in the world editor. I went ahead and answered yes to save the Cajon route. Now both the Montour route and the Bay of Quinte both work without any issues? Not sure why checking and then saving the Cajon Route allowed my route to load, but I'll go with it. If anyone else encounters a route that will not load, try loading the Cajon route in the route editor and see if it prompts you to save when clicking on the yellow triangle to exit.
Cheers,

No problems noted here, so far. All DLC and third party content are where they should be. I was surprised (and delighted) to see the Acela set automatically upgraded.

Relieved that the North Shore Line has not been nuked by the updates. A few observations:

1. Object rotation is MUCH easier now. A long bridge deck on a slight grade which I could not get in place with TS2014 went in with no trouble.

2. Gotta Love that object scaling. I've mainly used it so far to get bridges to the exact width of the track, though I see other applications such as making taller trees in my future.

3. Found that the "Snap terrain to loft" tool is now selectable. Can snap to roads, track, scenery, or any combination of the three. Very handy for places where roads and rails cross via a bridge.

4. I freaking love the 3D weather conditions.
