While they look interesting, the question was asked about having the new skies available to legacy routes and for once DTG actually provided an answer.
"The new cloud system will be added to all content that is included with TS2015. It will also be used on all future routes too. We will consider the possibility of adding it to other existing content on a product by product basis after launch."
To me that reads that it is not an easy process to add it into legacy routes (ie, the RWA or the wonderful period New Haven), which is disappointing

DTG have never greatly troubled themselves with free retrofits, even quite easy ones. I suspect the freeware community will be putting see new skies in old routes pretty quickly.

They said the same thing that content would be TSX upgraded years ago. Didn't happen to a single older DLC pack except the Dash 9, and we all know how well that went.

Yep. It's why I haven't bought anything from them in months. I've been around this community of developers long enough now, to know it doesn't take that long to fix the major bugs in an engine or DLC either.
I am speaking with my wallet at this point in time.

I wonder if modding the older routes would simply go the way of things like the Donner Pass engines, in which attempts to fix things led to lights on engines always being on and lighting up the cabs? Or the tunnel fiasco after the update to 2014? The last time I did a clean install, the light stripes at the ends of my Marias Pass tunnels were still there and I had to reinstall the German Guy's tunnel fix... I good example of a great route that actually got bugged when they tried to change things.
I'm frustrated by new bugs getting introduced when we've already fix some on DLC we already have.
The only real explanation for that, is they must put out updates, without checking all the DLC for compatibility.
By the time they get done fixing and updating, my Marias and Donner Passes would be in a state where I wouldn't want to drive them anymore, if it wasn't for third parties putting out fixes. Well... what happened post Donner patch. Obviously Donner was an utter wreck when if first came out.

I suppose so... Hopefully this means that fog will burn off or lift over time during the game.

I wouldn't object to something that actually resembled real sunlight. The best sunlight I've seen yet with this game looks like a 100 degree hazy day. **!!2cents!!** The clouds and stuff will be cool. I wonder if it'll require special scripting to use like the great new weather patterns they gave us a while back.

I think the day when truly realistic sunlight and atmospheres are truly reproduced, will be the day when we have monitors that are able to blind us and throw us into the darkest of tunnels.

That looks amazing, but I mean hardware - the actual computer monitor having a contrast ratio much higher than a static 1000:1, with little to no light bleed through at the darkest blacks, and at least light bulb brightness at max (although damaging to the eyes, would give us a reason to wear sunglasses while train simming. *!lol!*)
