I see this problem also. Got better by dropping to 5x5 tiles rather than 7x7.

In the hunt for a common cause ... Win7 64bit, AMD PhenomII, NVidia GT550 (or 560)

anything similar?

So far, I'm only seeing an annoying greenish tint on what used to be bright yellow graphics. And much cooler color temps.
In my case, it seems to be a side effect of the 3D weather. When I go back to one of the old school sky domes, the colors are closer to what I had before.
I like the rain and cloud effects, but not what they do to the color palette.

Other than that, all or most of my mods etc remained intact. If any were removed, I haven't found it yet.
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

I still get the frame-rate drop regardless of the specs.

maybe it was discussed somewhere, but scenery is very blurry at distance.. like looking through the fog

I use depth of field setting since 2014, but it was not so extreme before

One step forwards, two steps back is my verdict on TS2015 so far.
And my secondary Railworks computer seems to be caught up in an endless validation loop.

3D clouds and dynamic weather take rather a toll on FPS and aren't always pretty or natural looking either.

According to a poster on UKTS, there is a 'CrepuscularEffect' setting in the "SilverLining" 3D weather blueprints which affect lighting and colouration.
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=361&t=139102&p=1719940&hilit=3d+clouds&sid=c2b40a71baa7c5719df583e4090cbb5c#p1719929
There is also a <FogColour> section in the <SilverLiningWeatherBlueprint> of any 3D weather blueprint, perhaps that also causes the blue tint?

Take a look in Data\SilverLining and find all kinds of .dll libaries, but no docs whatsoever.

Which leads to the following question: has any of the content creation manuals been updated with the new features?

Now the left stick is the cruise control instead of dynamic brakes. It's quite twitchy though, unless there's a key for it I just haven't found yet, the only way to change the cruise speed is by clicking with the mouse which can be dicey with the cab shake. I'm not sure whether each "notch" is 5mph or 10mph, sometimes I move it one notch and it's a 5mph difference, other times it seems to be 10mph. But it's far better than the previous method of accelerate until you hit the speed, then double-tap the K key! Cab signaling on the old NEC also seems to be wonky, leaving Philadelphia, it kept dropping to stop.

Not an improvement at all IMO. How to use the dynamic brake independently? There is no combined power/brake handle? Dynamics come on with the automatic train brake handle but only reach 30% effort in full emergeny position.
Also the train brake handle is notched, and has no application range between minimum reduction and full service reduction positions. This is a EMU, not a locomotive, but surely the passengers will like a smooth braking action as much as the engineer likes precise control over his train?

One more issue I found

Cannot publish new scenario to Steam workshop: "failed to validate zip file" or either "failed to create zip file"
So, upload doesn't work

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear in my post. From what I understand, this is closer to how it actually works in real life, there is no independent dynamic brake handle, and the power handle is just that, the power handle, while the "cruise control handle" is probably better referred to as the speed control handle. As to the brakes, I can't answer that, but at least they didn't become worse than the previous version. Actually, the Acela is not an EMU, it's two power cars (locomotives) on either end of the trainset.

[EDIT] (The following is not in direct response to _o_OOOO_oo-Kanawha): I'm driving the Acela right now north out of Trenton, and the cruise control seems to be calibrated in kilometers and not miles! For instance, in a 110 zone, it will hold either 111 (speeding) or 108, but not 110, which just happens to correspond to 180km/h or 175km/h.

Very disapointed in 2015
it doesn\t add anything valuable , but UI totally screwed up.
3d weather? I don't care. This is train simulator in first place, not weather simulator.
Dynamic weather was implemented since 2012 I guess... how many scenario developers utilized this feature? very few I think, if any.
Dynamic weather blueprints were impossible to upload to Steam with scenario, so they are useless for those, who share and consume scenarios in workshop.

The most annoying feature is menu. Before 2015 it was keeping the last route and scenario you played nearby.
Now, when I finished the scenario, I always returned to the beginning of the list (long list in my case).
I also don't see which scenarios I played and which not played (no difference between scenario with failed assignments,
and never touched scenario )

I noticed on Thursday evening that my install was a mess. All kinds of content missing. I ran a verify and still missing like 80% of my content. I decided to leave it be for a while and didn't get a chance to check until Friday evening. I assume it must have done some further updating after that because on Friday evening everything was there again and working properly.

I can't say I am a big fan of the menu systems but after figuring them out I have to see the update is ok. I like the enhanced weather. All in all not a lot added to the game but I can't say I was expecting much. I bought the steam edition but had both US routes - still worth while though - I received 2 routes and 2 packs for Pacific Surfliner and the ICE T for $55 - which is about the same as buying them all at 50% off.

I think it was said best earlier as - Meh (Same game with some new content)

Which was all they claimed it was going to be. It runs well for me and seems very stable. I am satisfied other than the new menu which I suppose like all things I will learn to work with it.
