While checking other routes I loaded the Cajon route into the world editor. When exiting, the world editor told me it needed to save the Cajon route? I had not made any changes while in the route, but simply loaded to the route just to make sure it would load in the world editor. I went ahead and answered yes to save the Cajon route. Now both the Montour route and the Bay of Quinte both work without any issues? Not sure why checking and then saving the Cajon Route allowed my route to load, but I'll go with it. If anyone else encounters a route that will not load, try loading the Cajon route in the route editor and see if it prompts you to save when clicking on the yellow triangle to exit.

Rich,
I did a back up yesterday of my whole Railworks folder and did fire up the sim this morning and no problems with the Montour after the update all was well too.

No issues to report here. Ran the update, restarted the computer and presto! It works. My personal routes load in the editor and the new tools are pretty nifty and I'm sure will be welcomed with open arms.

The new atmosphere system is very nice; everything seems clearer and you can see farther. On the down side, you can really see the new assets being populated ahead of you as they are no longer impeded by the perpetual haze of the old atmosphere. Looks like it's time to increase draw distance in the core program again.

Overall I quite like it, a nice step forward. I feel bad for those of you having issues hopefully they are resolved quickly.

I'm curious.
For those of us that use the external folder structure, did they delete mods?

Just a little word of warning. Just spent about half an hour trying to figure out why a scenario I had made on the Pacific Surfliner was so incredibly broken in TS2015 (cars on the wrong rails, etc).

Then I realized it was a scenario I had abandoned months ago because it was in fact so broken. *!embar*!

From what I've seen so far the answer is no. I only have one oddity so far. The update took out my scaleRail RailNetwork folder. I put it back in but still can't get the tracks to show up on my ScaleRail Marias Pass Route.

The Marias tracks are in the 3DTrains\MariasPass folder. Are those gone too, or just the ones in the ScaleRail directory?

Edit: Looks like my MariasPass folder got wiped. I have it backed up, however. *!rolleyes!*

Me too. Just found it five minutes ago. All is good now. Now I need to find the tracks for the Montour and all will be fine.

I have to second the Scalerail issue. For the Southern Rails route, all roads, tracks, and trees were gone. When I closed the route and re-opened it, the 3rd party ground textures were gone too. Looks like the update wiped out the Asset folders. I will try when I get time later to re-install.

I only messed around with it for a bit. So far I'm not happy with the TSX-OFF option being gone. I would use it to get huge boosts in frame rate when I wasn't in a "prettiest graphics" mood. Someone here mentioned it's removal helped boost the frame rate in the now permanent TSX-ON mode. I highly doubt it had anything to do with it. They managed to boost frame rates in the past while keeping legacy mode intact.

Something odd happened. To give TS2015 a quick test out, I did a Quick Drive using the 60-car Union Pacific autorack train that has 2 ES44ACs and 2 SD70Ms in the consist. On the Pacific Surfliner route I had it starting in San Diego with LA Union Station as the destination.

Most of the time, starting a Quick Drive in San Diego has a southbound Surfliner coming into the station about a minute or so after booting up into the route. I've seen this happen countless times. So what happened today when I did so in 2015? A long 100% backhoe train with two green Marias Pass BN SD40-2s on the front came instead. And once it got to the station, it stopped and was blocking all the street crossings. How in the heck did this train end up on the Surfliner route all of a sudden is really weird. !*don-know!*

I do like the new drop down menus such as in the settings section. I will mess around and give more impressions later.

My download took 8 minutes (I have none of the included routes).
My Assets folder is intact as far as I can see.

Everything worked perfectly on the 1st try.
I liked the intro video, with Sean Bean's voice, once. Then I disabled it in the options.
I have no problem with the menu system, apart that it's a bit cluttered.
Someone complained about it being difficult to resume a scenario, but the Resume button is right there at the bottom of the menu.

My only complain is the size and color of the scenario list.
It is still grey on light grey (I don't know why anyone would want that), but now the text is much smaller.
I can't read it without taking my glasses off and sticking my face close to the screen.

Can you read this?

By the way, the "Difficulty" gauge has been bugging me since TS2012.
There is redundant information: number of bars AND color.

I really dislike how they've implemented the scenario list as it's not consistent. I should be able to select _EVERY_ route as a filter option on the left hand side. Instead, it's rather haphazard (for instance, Scalerail Marias Pass is an option, but not Scalerail Cajon Pass or Scalerail Pacific Surfliner or any of the workshop routes).

Just a note on the bars and colors - they've chosen the standard yellow/red/green coloring, so I'm good with them having a secondary way of displaying the information. For those that are Red/Green colorblind, it's a big deal.

All is well, here,so far. I was going to mention I like the option of disabling the opening video. So far,my route is behaving fine. I am pleasantly suprised at the new option to scale objects. I think this will be handy for bridges, trees, and other items.

It's been that way for awhile with my A.I. trains during a Quick Drive on Sherman Hill . I get random trains from my DLC now. They seem to separate it by time period though. IE you shouldn't get something like HSC A.I. in a 90s route.
I also started seeing consists from other DLC sitting in sidings and in yards.
In my case it started months ago.

Another thing that is nice is that road traffic doesn't just de-spawn the second the cars hit a road joint (the little red triangles, not breaks, that would be cool though).
They exist everywhere. You may not see them, but they're there. Awww yeeeaaaahhhh, 20% Cooler! /)

I had one come into Cheyenne (Unit BNSF grain train all the same with 3 NS SD70M-2s... Not what I was expecting but better than your occurrence.
