So Long, and Thanks For All The Fish!

Unread postby JerryC » Tue Nov 20, 2018 7:01 pm

As of today, Virtual Rail Creations has been shut down. The reason for this is simply that life has many seasons. Things that you like to participate in change over time, and these are influenced by many factors, such as family, jobs, and even age. Dan and I have moved in different directions in these regards, and it was felt that we could no longer provide add ons to Train Simulator that were up to the high quality standards that we like to see in the game.

This decision will not affect the add ons that are sold by Dovetail Games on the Steam platform. They will continue to be offered as long as DTG sees fit to carry them.

It has been a great ride, and good times for us over the last eight years. We have enjoyed serving you, and we hope that you will continue to enjoy the locomotives and scenery items that we have produced. We've also enjoyed the real world tracks and railroad museums that our hobby has taken us to, and the people that we have met to expand our knowledge of railroading. Contrary to the belief of some, making these add ons wasn't done in a box - it took a village - a world wide community - to do what we have done. Thank you for your enthusiasm, knowledge, and direction.

Thank you for the excellent engines, I love running them, especially the C39-8. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Jerry,
As always, my heartfelt wishes for the best that life has to offer for you and yours. You are the technician-artist that we all aspire to be. Your wit and sense of the humorous even found its way into your work. Your deft touch onto your creations will be missed.
!*salute*!

Obviously, but that's two of how many other quality products sold on the VRC site.
