ok this maybe the dumbest question in the world but how do you turn off the head lights? It seems the control inside the slug won't work..

Are you referring to VRC's CSX GP40 Road Slug? If so, please check its excellent owners' manual, pages 5 and 10. I've driven this engine and, after using Ctrl+- while at a standstill with brakes applied and reverser in neutral, have used standard procedure to control the slug's headlight by cab switch, keyboard, or F4 HUD. If those aren't working for you, I suggest sending an e-mail to Jerry.

well it seems it was my fault. I installed the rwp in the wrong order so none of its controls in the slug worked. uninstalling it and reinstalling it fixed the problem.
