VRC, with that BNSF thing in mind it appears that the BN F45 and GP20 on the Steam store have no licensing restrictions. So it may be possible to sell the BN U30C outside the US, such as the Canadian users that's make up majority of the non-US people here.

They all look excellent, will the vehicles come with any scenarios for any route? (E.G. BN U30C has Marias and Stevens Pass scenarios, using BN DLC for rolling stock)

Would it be possible you guys could sell an "unbranded" version of the bn/BNSF things so they are available to everyone outside the US and it just takes someone to create a free ware decal to add onto them.... Such as what was done with the VIA P42DC? It's the only way I see you being able to get it out to everyone without having to really deal with BNSF's license restrictions.

For example you can market it as "U30C cascade green" and have it just the green and black with the appropriate details that would be on a BN unit but without any of the BN logos or markings.

Tycoomkid, while we recognize you are interested in helping our international customers please keep in mind that we have the licensing contract in front of us and we did question BNSF directly about this point. There is no room for interpretation.

What Steam is allowing for the F45 and GP20 is their business.

Yes, it will come with some scenarios, for which route is still yet to be determined.

@ thecanadarail, we have done undecorated models of the GP40 so its likely we will do it for the U30.

It's been almost a year since aqquisition of the BNSF license. I couldn't hurt to ask again. The worst they could do is ignore my email altogether. As far as other locos still being offered on Steam, it could be a simple grandfathering issue. I asked UP why CompanyX could get a certain license while we could not, and their reply was that they have done that in the past but have discontinued the pratice and would not renew those licenses in the future. That is one i'm still keeping an eye on.

I absolutely hate writing scenarios. It ranks right up there with placing my privates in a meat grinder and giving cats a bath. Being that Chessie is going to be the first one out of the gate, whatever scenarios come will be limited to the eastern routes. Horseshoe and Coal District are the most likely candidates. I don't think that you would see a Chessie as far south as Miami or far north as New York back in 1968.

I'd like to see a S.P. version of that on my Donner Redo, of which I'm releasing soon as "Phase 1" from Sparks to Emigrant Gap.

There is a WIP one hiding around here somewhere, but we will run into the restriction UP/SP has placed upon us. We cannot sell/charge for any model with a UP/SP family repaint!

We are going to look at the license again, and see what we can do.

In the original post for this locomotive the primary livery of this locomotive was going to be Reading Lines? What happened to it, is it still going to be released?

Very awesome and looking forward to it.
