Any way to get back ups of old purchases?

Unread postby wongsing » Wed Mar 11, 2020 4:11 pm

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else, but I only recently decided to put TS 20xx back on my computer again after taking a long break from it. While trying to install some of my old payware, I realized that I don't have the original links to my Chessie System GP40-2 pack I bought back in 2015. Seems like the VRC is gone out of business; is there now anyway to get my past purchases back? I have my receipts, original links (now expired) and everything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You could try PM'ing PapaXpress, as he worked with VRC on the units. He may have a way of getting a hold of JerryC. It's a long shot, and I don't even know if he is still checking in here, but maybe it will pan out. However, as much as you probably don't want to hear this, you're probably out of luck.

Not sure if this will help or not but I purchased that VRC product (well I think it is the same product) through Trains & Drivers. You may have some luck contacting them in order to contact VRC.

Let me just go ahead and tell you that your chances of contacting VRC are slim to none. They don't exist anymore. Jerry doesn't even have Steam, TrainSimulator, Trainz, TSW, or any other video games anymore. He does have Blender and all of the Source and download files for everything they made, but the large, heavy, power consuming computer they are stored on is in mothballs in a storage unit. When J walked away (or should I say rode away) it was hard core and for good.
