New Big Boy update will stream this weekend

Unread postby AmericanSteam » Tue Sep 22, 2020 6:48 pm

From Smokebox's facebook page today " Provided the internet behaves itself, I intend doing a Steam broadcast this coming weekend, starting around 23:30 GMT (00:30 BST in the UK) on Sunday (or Saturday afternoon/evening in the USA). I'll be demonstrating the work-in-progress Union Pacific Big Boy.

Keep in mind that it's not completely finished so the eagle-eyed will, no doubt, spot things that are missing or need correcting. In particular, the tender will be borrowed from 844 (so yeah, you won't see any coal in it). This will be open to everyone, not just my Steam friends. If it goes well, I could do more broadcasts.

I'll post again approximately half an hour before it starts. I hope to see you at the weekend!" !*YAAA*!

Open Steam and tab to community, drop down will show broadcasts scroll to Smokebox's broadcast. You will need to calculate local time from GMT to get the start time.
Use this: https://savvytime.com/converter/gmt
EDIT: add a better conversion tool

From MIke To find the stream, open the Steam client, select LIBRARY > Train Simulator and then click on Community Hub. Next, click on the Broadcasts tab and scroll through the broadcasts until you find mine.

For those who missed the broadcast, you missed a real treat. The animations, the sounds (finally a locomotive that sounds like its size) and the usual Mike Rennie fidelity in the modeling, it is just amazing. This will DEFINITELY be a first day buy when it hits the market

Words struggle to do the work that has gone into this justice.

Roll on release.

Absolutely amazing. The Searchlight Simulations AC4400 is the best diesel out there and the Big Boy by Mike will be the steam benchmark others will be judged by. This will call for better rolling stock with realistic dynamics to complement this wonderful machine as were introduced with the AC4400. !*brav*!
