Engine Blueprint XML

Unread postby Roadmaster259 » Tue May 29, 2018 6:21 pm

Being a complete newbie when it comes to locomotive creation, I recently purchased a 3D model (and own rights thereto) of a diesel locomotive that I wish to introduce to the TS2018 collection.

My problem is that I have a beautiful 3D model, converted to an IGS file, and it looks excellent as a static model. That being said, I have no idea how to compile a blueprint to make the model operable in the sim. The BE asks for input like matrices and pivot points and other technical data that I do not know how to complete. Is there a resource, or perhaps a person who would be willing to help me learn how to create engine blueprints? Perhaps I could partner up with one who is willing to co-create, or teach me what I need to know.

Please post any resources that you wish to share from the net, or PM me with personal offers to help.

Many thanks,
Grant

Check out the Tutorial Index at the top right menu on this page, it may help: http://thegradecrossing.blogspot.com/20 ... asics.html

And if you get hooked up with someone willing to offer help, I'd like to be included. Thanks.

This thread goes through the whole process, although you can obviously skip all the 3D stuff since you already have a model. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4864

The basis of all knowledge is in the RSC developer's docs.

and literally no explainations as to what you are trying to accomplish or things to be aware of to not make mistakes.
