Changing Engine Sounds

Unread postby McTrainGuy » Fri Jan 02, 2015 6:09 am

Hello, Im a noobie to changing sounds but after looking throught the tutorial I have a few questions. In the proxy.xml file, Im trying to change the empire builder p42dc bell to the sherman hill es44 e-bell. In order for me to do that, in the p42 file, Im supposed to find the path that goes to the bell file? So by editing that path to the sherman hill es44 e-bell i should be set? Ive tried once but it still plays the default bell. I know I may be asking the same questions others have asked but right now im just so clueless **!!bang!!** !*don-know!* Thank You for any assisantce you can provide.

The easiest thing to do would be to make a copy of the bell sound you want, and paste into the same folder the original bell is. Then simply rename the new file to match the old one, and your good to go. Remember to take original bell file out of the folder, or it won't allow you to rename. Put the old file on desktop to get the spelling correct, then delete it.
