What again was the basis of your files? The Chinese freight car sound pack or the more recent Indian freight car sounds available at railsim.com?
I think Chinese car building practise if more like USA's, so I suppose those freight car sounds fit our purpose better.

Like Buzz said, these are my own sounds from driving beside trains. Same goes for my engine sounds.

Even better then! Genuine US freight train sounds!! Recorded while driving besides trains?
BNSFDude explained how he got good locomotive sounds, and it seemed a lot of effort.

I am grateful for your effort and free sharing of the results. Your freight car sounds really add to the immersion.
Pressing the "4" key to listen to the train go by is over all too soon. *!sad!*

It's not possible for me to create a fresh version of 2015. My game updated on top of my very modded 2014, as it has since I started. I simply don't have the bandwidth to start from scratch, downloading 75 Gb of files to create a fresh install.

I love Krellnut's sounds, though, and am not sure I would run TS without them.

I have 3.1b installed. Can I run the fix file mentioned above and then this new set and have it all work, or should I just stick with what I have now?

What I did which works fine is to just go get rid of WJSounds folder and then install it all. It worked fine. This installs his new sounds and anything no covered previously without doing anything to the stuff already there.

I think you meant to say; just delete Wagons in WJ Sound folder. No need to delete anything else in there.

Uh, no. Genuine Canadian freight train sounds!! LOL! I just call them US sounds because the sounds are on a US site. !*salute*!

Woody and I get our sounds very different ways. Like I said, I'm driving beside a loco under load going through the notches. Woody Is recording his sounds doing stall tests, the sounds being very different than mine.

Go into WJ Sound and delete the wagons folder. Install the new pack. I think you ended with my bogie sounds, so if you don't want them, run the; Krellnut's Default Track Fix. There are enough new sounds and features that make it worth to install the new pack, in my opinion.

Thanks for the new menu sounds! I was getting lulled to sleep by the default music!
For the new sound pack, what is the default defect frequency and volume level? I'd like to bump the volume up a level.
Thanks for all your hard work. !*cheers*!

I would and will tell you, but everyone should at least be able to find and look what the pack is set too. Navigate to; Assets\WJ Sound\Wagons\Audio. There you will see a Wagon Freight Proxyxml. Open it up and you will see what defective\voulme xml it is. The one I supplied in the pack is; 50-Step1.

Thanks. I've never messed with the sounds other than your previous packs. I'll crack open the proxyxml and take a look tonight.

Just had a listen with the new soundpack. OMG, these are so good. Why hasn't DTG offered to buy them and use them in future DLC? They are truly about 1000% better than whatever they've put out.

So true! This is what a real freight train sounds like!

If I install this pack, will the files go into the .ap files and screw up the Career scenarios and make them unplayable?
