Ok i have been trying forever to get the horn end loud enough to hear, like an audible echo or fade away but like on this horn, but if I amplify them they are distorted or off pitch.

What did you use to make this horn?

Not sure why you would want the end to be louder as you can clearly hear the long echo. As for how I did, just like any other horn.

This should actually not happen as I've tested the latest version twice for that issue. Check for files called "ES44 Engine Sound.bin or ES44 Engine Sound.xml" in C:RailWorks\Assets\RSC\ES44AC_Pack01_CSX_YN3\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44 and delete those. Other option would be to uninstall any previous version and reinstall the latest.

This horn is amazing, I mean when I make horns, I cant hear the horn end echo or fade out on mine, the loop is plenty loud but the horn end isnt audible

Thanks. It takes quite some time to get a horn to work as good as this K5HL but then again I'm the only one using a special technique for those horns that enables me to make them sound as clear and as close to reality as possible. This CSX K5HL though is not the highest bar of what's possible since it only uses one sound recording compared to that dynamic CP K5HL that I yet have to finish. That one's gonna raise the bar above everything known so far.

This sounds almost exactly like the first part of this video, spot on match of the K5HL, almost too similar..

No wonder. That CP K5HL I'm working on is exactly the one out of that video. The K5HL that's already out is a private recording from Nathan.

Amazing piece of work! This really captures the "loudness" of the horn. Now I just need to figure out how to alias this to the Dash 8 from the Miami route...

I would do that If you could shoot me in the Cab Sound bin and the Horn proxy file. That's what they're called on the CSX GEVO: C:\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\ES44AC_Pack01_CSX_YN3\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44\Cab Class ES44 Cab.proxybin and Class ES44 Horn Sound.bin

Actually, you don't need to use/edit the PROXYBIN files, only the PROXYXML files are relevant as the sim takes the information out of those primarily.

So it seems as if many people still do not know that the first version of this K5HL has been already uploaded here and is available for download: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =25:sounds
