Swapping Santa Fe loco sounds - B&LE

Unread postby ozinoz » Tue Feb 27, 2018 5:26 am

A bit puzzled here !DUH!

Thought I would swap the B&LE Santa Fe sounds to a loco with a "less clipped" exhaust and it was suggested the NKP Berk post sound update. All has gone well, but no chuffs **!!bang!!** I have edited the loco sound bin and pointed to the "new" wav files. Does TS no longer use .wav's? Spent 2 nights on this and am running out of hair !*hp*!

Any pointers?

Love This Route **!!bow!!**

!*cheers*!

Yes. You can replace dav by wav, but you have to do the same in the two proxy files (xml and bin)
Intel i7-7900K (3.60 GHz) - ASUS Prime Z390A - 32 GB DDR4 RAM 2400 MHz
GPU EVGA GTX-1060 OC 6GB at 1920x1080, 144 Hz - Monitor ASUS VG-248QE
System Windows 11 Pro in WD SSD 500 GB. Games in Inland 1Tb M.2 NVMe PCIe

All you need to is, copy the Berkshire.proxyxml from the "G-TraX\Trains\Audio\RailVehicles\Steam\Berkshire" folder and paste in the "G-TraX\BLE\Audio\RailVehicles\Steam\SantaFe" folder and rename it SantaFe_Audio.proxyxml. That's all there is to it.

This route got me to play a bit. I live 15 miles from Albion and I grew up going to Conneaut Lake park in the 70's as a kid. Worked for Ferrell Gas out of Conneaut Lake in the 90's delivering propane. Kinda know the area just a bit you might say. !*cheers*!

Worked lile a charm - now as happy as a pig in the proverbial *!lol!*

Decided to go with the NG loco from the Clear Creek (sounds really suit the 0-6-0) with a Nathan 5 chime :D

**!!bow!!**
