Advice on Using the RWTools

Unread postby SteamForever4449 » Sun Nov 10, 2019 1:46 pm

Recently I’ve decided to build locomotives and coaches for the entire Coast Daylight fleet. So far I’ve only begun to brush the basics of making the GS-2. I know I’ll end up using the RWTools at some point, or a million, so I wanted to ask for advice on using them to edit Geo, Tg, and ban files. It’d be greatly appreciated if someone could tell me how to do this. Thanks!

Have you thought of reading the manual. It is one of the better ones. And yeah it's the best around for editing stuff since it makes automatic backups for goof ups so it's easy to go back. I suggest you read the manual do some experimenting and then if you're confused about something in particular come back and ask. To try to explain everything RWTools does would take pages and pages.

Hi Robert,

The help file in the RW_Tools package is 80 pages of text, I don't think there is much that could be written here which is not in the manual.
