When I run RW Tools for the first time, an installer starts. It stays stuck on preparing to install for about 15 minutes and then says "Install server not responding". Trying again doesn't change anything.
I know this is probably not a specific RW Tools problem, but the installer gives no information on what is actually being installed. There are no other error messages or codes. What is being installed and how can I fix it?
Hi, You say that you ran the installer, and then RW_Tools, so am I right in assuming that the installer ran OK, and that it was only when you attempted to run RW_Tools itself that you got a problem?
When you run RW_Tools itself, you should not get anything about an installer starting, unless the first install did not conclude correctly. After RW_Tools installer finishes, the installer then runs mwgfxdll.exe which installs Martin Wright's graphics extensions. Is it possible that you did not allow this to happen and it is now trying to install them?
I have not had anyone else advise of a problem with this install, so don't know what else might have happened, unless your security settings are so high that Windows is not allowing the installation. Where are you installing RW_Tools? Don't install it in Programfiles (x86) or it will not work.
