This may be reported but I didn't see it.
If the Asset Editor window is open, and I open windows explorer in my 2nd monitor, I can navigate "forward" fine, but as soon as I click UP or BACK the system freezes, the explorer window I had open closes, and Windows explorer (and therefore the desktop) crashes and restarts.
Widows 10 Home, v1703, Build 15063.540, RW_tools 7.0.31

I have Windows 10 Home here and have tested it on a 2 monitor system with Windows Explorer in the 2nd monitor and can't replicate this problem. So I have no idea why that would happen. The code for the Assets Editor screen does not capture the up/down keys for any special processing as far as I can remember, but I will have a further look into it to see if there is anything there which might cause this but it is unusual for 2 programs to interact with each other.

Sorry I wasn't clear, not the up down keys, the Up and Back "buttons" on the menu bar of the windows explorer window...
Like so:

Nope, tested that here on Windows 10 Home and it is working fine.
So unless anyone else has any ideas, I have no idea where the problem lies.

~sigh~ well not the first oddball bug I've had in a Windows system that's for sure.
BTW mikesimpson thank you so much for this invaluable tool! It's a bit of a learning curve, but 90% of my customizing would be impossible to manage without it!

Tell me about it, you can imagine how much fun I have trying to find bugs like that which may or may not be something to do with my programming.
I am pleased you like the program in any case. There should be an update out soon.
