RW Update

I've recently updated from TS2013 to TS2015. I have the recent version of RW Tools. TS2013 is still installed.
In RW Tools when I select Scenarios and Edit Scenarios I get the list of routes that I had in TS2013. I've tried many times to input the path to TS2015 but I still end up with the TS2013 info.
What must I do to get RW Tools to recognize TS2015 instead of TS2013?

Under options there needs to be a path to 2014 or 2015. Get that done and you should be looking at your new version of TS.

Buzz456:
Under options and then either TS2015 path or View all paths it clearly shows the correct path --D:\Steam2015\steamapps\common\RailWorks. Clicking on the following file RailWorks.exe loads Steam and then TS2015 but when I click on Scenarios and then Edit Scenarios in RW Tools I get the list of routes I had in TS2013 which is different from what I now have in TS2015. My problem is how to get rid of the TS2013 list and show the TS2015 list in RW Tools.

We better wait for Mike to check in here. That's a new one on me.

When you run RW_Tools, it should show you the path to Railworks which the program is using in the top border of the main screen.e.g. on mine it shows RW editor Version 6.0.30 Rail Works path = E:\Steam\Steamapps\common\RailWorks this is held in a variable by the program and that is the path it always uses. I have 3 sets of RailWorks installed here, and by changing this in the options menu it always changes correctly to the one I select. Mike

When I run RW_Tools the path in the top border is the correct one to the location of my TS2015 version but under scenarios/edit scenarios I get a TS2013 list of 23 routes. My TS2015 version contains 46 routes in the contents/routes folder.
I tried switching the path to the location of my TS2013 and RW_Tools/scenarios/edit scenarios came up with the correct list of 23 routes. I then changed the path back to the location of my TS2015 but the same old wrong list of routes came up in RS_Tools.
I'm wondering if I should uninstall and reinstall RW_Tools. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hi Brian,
It sounds like you have not unpacked the latest routes which will be in .ap files and which RW_Tools can't read unless they are unpacked. Suggest you see the various messages about .ap files and my tutorial
http://www.rstools.info/RW_Tools_and_APfiles.pdf which should help a bit. (note the tutorial needs updated a bit as there are a lot more options available in the latest version of RW_Tools)

Mike:
I've gone through the unpack routine again and the drop-down window informed me that all files are unpacked but I still only get the incorrect route list.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled RW_Tools but still get the same result.
Note that the list of routes I get is not just missing some routes, it is a wrong list which contains some routes I don't have in TS2015. The list appears to be a partial list from TS2013.
I realize this a rather unusual problem; I hope it can be resolved as I can't use RW_Tools the way things are now.
Thanks for your patience.

You can't rely on the list of .ap files to be sure that they are all unpacked. The red 'unpacked' ones are listed because the size of the .ap file is less than half the size of the folder itself. However, it is up to the user to confirm which are/are not unpacked as the folder might contain other items (scenario .ap files etc), so this calculation only gives an idea.
What you could do is to select every .ap file in the list of .ap files and unpack the whole lot. Making sure that you kept the default settings in the box where you can select whether to overwrite files etc.
Then see what happens.

I followed your suggestion and this has almost completely solved the problem. There are still 4 routes which don't appear but they are of no consequence.
Mike, I very much appreciate your patience and your assisstance.
