Packaging Routes

Unread postby WikiGary » Tue Dec 24, 2013 1:31 am

Mike: I just upgraded to RW Tools 5 and have been trying to package a route. I first ran "Check Selected Routes". I got the list of assets just fine and had one RWDecal asset showing up as a missing asset. I requested that it be deleted, and it was reported complete. I then closed the listing and "RouteName_Assets.crv" was created in the Reports folder..... then nothing. The other three listings were not created. (‘RouteName_GeoShapes.csv’,‘RouteName’_Textures.csv and ‘RouteName’_Sounds.csv)

A second try gave the same results and in addition the same RWDecal asset showed up as missing again.

I installed version 5 from the Full Installation file.

P.S. love your program. I was able to fudge a 150 meter curve for my mountain railroad with it. Of course the big Norhterns derail negotiating it. but the K4's and Smokebox's Lima, Consolidation's handle the sharp turns just fine. I know it is true to prototype because I have walked the trail on the old rail-bed many times. *!!thnx!!*

Just to confirm... I had just ran reports with version 5.0.36 last night and it worked normally. All reports ran and I was able to save each one. I've had that issue previously with items not deleting; I use the "Show Location of all Assets" report for that now. Did you try running the reports without trying to delete that decal? I think that "side task" interrupts the continuation of the reporting process (but that may just be something I did).

Hi Gary,

You have to display and save all of the other items as well, e.g. view/save the .geopcdx files, then the texture files and the audio files to get all of the .csv files set up.

Just saving after viewing the scenery assets is not enough.
