RWTools hanging at14% on checking textures

Unread postby buzz456 » Sun Oct 13, 2019 11:03 am

My subject just about says it all. Anyone have any ideas how to find this? Nothing was missing in either the assets or the shapes. Trying to save cvs for packing up assets.

For what it is worth buzz I noticed RWtools doing everything extremely slow lately. I tried substituting some stock in scenarios and each replacement would take 5+ minutes. It had been a while since I used the tool to do that so maybe it is my memory, but it certainly seemed longer than I remember.

RW_Tools has not been changed for a long time now, and there will be no more updates due to problems I had with a computer crash and a loss of some 3rd party software items which will not compile under the latest versions of Windows.

However, that said, RW_Tools often has to look through a lot of files to modify some items in TS2020 and each time you add more routes and more assets, it often has more work to do, thus appearing slower.

Only fix is to buy a really powerful computer with lots of RAM and latest Windows 10. Or alternatively move all the routes you rarely use to a backup folder, then you can always move them back if you want to use them.
