RW&A, LS&W Expansion installation

Unread postby QcRail » Mon Aug 17, 2015 5:25 pm

Hi all,

I've finally got around to install the RW&A, LS&W Expansion package and it seems fine except for one minor detail. From what I have deduced it may be a missing ground texture, but TS Editor will not recognize the object when I click on it as I do for any other scenery object (mind you, I may not proceed the right way or seek the right info).

In the first image, around Hoptown, near and around the cattle pens, a missing texture is easilly observable yet what is't calling name and in which asset does it hide ???

In the second image, around E. Carlton Tower (46.57884/ -91.08176) a large patch is missing. Again which texture and which asset.

Any clue and/or a solution is appreciated - thanks !!*ok*!!

I've been searching and the texture editor shows only one missing texture - It's <<NE-Dark Grass>>. This particular texture seem to be part of the Artimrj-Routes-Environment-Terrain-Grass and. sure enough, it's not to be found in that asset folder. Could someone help me obtain the serie of textures falling under the Grass sub-folder.

By the way I'll take any file that anyone may have found to be missing from the initial route installation package *!!thnx!!*

Thanks for you help

The NE texture can be obtained from here. If you don't have this awesome route you should get it anyway and then you'll have this texture.

Thanks Buzz456 for your kick response.

Unfortunately, I already get NERW_PA_DIV_ASSETS_v1.1a_03-25-2012.zip and neither of the two most probable Assets are present : ARTIMRJ and NERW !!! and in my...
C:\TrainSimulator\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Artimrj\Routes\Environment\Terrain\Grass, the only files within are : NE-Clover 01 and 02, NE-Grass 02 and 03 and NE-DarkGrass000 ...

Furthermore, in Routes\Environment\Terrain\Grass\NE-DarkGrass000.TgPcDx the only reference is :

... could it be a naming error !DUH!

Would appreciate anyone having these said textures to check for a discrepancy or an omission, again thanks !!*ok*!!

Did you look in the route file? Last minute updates to the asset pack were packaged with the route.

Thank You Bob, the missing textures were indeed in the route package.

I took that opportunity to install NERW-PADIV-V2 and Buzz456 was quite right - Your route is quite an awesome achievement; I manage to do a quick exploratory drive from end to end through rolling landscape of the Appalachia. My favorite discovery is the fact that you have provided a double track mainline (as a spinal column) and from which you have linked, on the sides, a serie of industrial nodes - full, full, full of switching potential. Must be great to do yard duties while, in the background, large manifest roll bye on the main line.

Too bad TS2015 does not have a GPS inbedded within as your route is quite intricate - bravo !*roll-laugh*!
we need animated mapping !!*ok*!!

One of the greatest things about the NEPA route is the huge amount of scenarios available for it on the NERW web site.

There is an excellent map available with every industry and siding and station and ... on it.
