And the Winners Are...

You can figure it out by looking at the polls, but this will make it official.

The route name will be the Riverside, Waterton and Atlantic. Winner: "Ericmopar." In our fictional world, I have to think whoever came up with the name "Atlantic" had some big ideas that were never quite realized. Same sort of thing must have happened with the real-world Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic. But I like the "watery" theme the "runs through" all the RW&A names. *!rolleyes!* Congratulations, Eric! !*brav*! You'll receive a free copy of the route.

The runner up in the route name contest is "harryadkins." Harry will have his name forever emblazoned on one of the major structures on the route. What? I have to build it first? OK. Anyway, congratulations to Harry! !!*ok*!!

Finally, there's the locomotive livery. The winner of this one is "Antwerp" who submitted a custom maroon and dark gray scheme with gold trim. The RS-1 is isn't finished yet -- there's no cab and it needs a few more details, but the screen shot below will give you an idea of how it's coming along. Congratulations to Jerett. !*brav*! You'll also receive a free copy of the route.

Thank You.
To Rick.
I had thought of all the small lines in US RR history with Pacific and Atlantic in them, that never got anywhere near their intended goals.
I was also thinking about the Great Lakes location and all the lakes and streams in the area. *!greengrin!*
I'm glad that Maroon livery job won. '
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

Thanks Rick!

Ericmopar: Riverside, Waterton and Atlantic is a great name as the town names are very reminiscent of Northern Michigan towns I've seen.

harryadkins: Congrats on getting your name forever emblazoned on a major building *that doesn't quite exist yet.* !*lho*!

The livery on this picture actually looks quite good.
Not at all like the drawing used in the poll.
Sorry for doubting you, Antwerp!
!*salute*!

Eh, there is no need for apologies. It's all water under the bridge Nathan derailed on. !*roll-laugh*!

Great job to all the winners! I like the name and loco livery! I'm eagerly anticipating the release of the Riverside, Waterton and Atlantic.
The screenshot of the RS-1 is looking very nice all decked out in RW&A maroon! !!*ok*!!

OK it is about that time. I have sent all the winners a link for the route. They all get first crack at it along with the beta testers. I hope to be setting up the route's page tomorrow night after work. Memorial Day is in a week so I am working really crazy hours and days. So if all goes well, I won't have to work all day tomorrow. Worst case, it won't be ready until Sunday night.

Congrats to the winners of the naming contests!
