RBMN Standard cars

Unread postby aCup0fBlackTea » Sat Oct 07, 2023 10:44 am

Hi, is there any possibility of repainting the BLE 350 Coaches into RBMN standard cars? The general proportions fit and differences are mainly length and other not as obvious stuff but I think it would look quite good. Maybe if possble there could be two variants: A newly painted and a faded red, the newly painted being from 2008-2019-ish and the faded being 2020-present.

Great news, thanks so much Buzz! I'm building a route to finally put all those RBMN repaints you've done to good use ( here's the forum link if interested: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24805 )

I would just leave them off as the BLE numbers are too big and centered while also hardcoded into the model. Plus the RBMN has way too many of those cars to recreate all numbers as different variants.

Forgetting about the numbers for a minute if this looks OK I'll do the faded one. If there is something you don't care for let me know. If you want a copy to look at on your computer holler and I'll send it to you.

Wow, that was quick, but it looks fabulous! I'll wait until the faded variant is done to test it.

Here's a wonderful video of the past week with some superb views of the cars, especially love the observation cars goldwork. ;)

I would wager the BLACK DIAMOND originally had toplights or “gothic sash”, based upon the era of car, height of windows, and interior detailing.

A keen I will notice the recent conversion from plain bearings to endcap roller bearings.
