Found some useful reference this morning for anyone that might need it.

And the original blog.

Funny thing with these machines is the extreme end of PRR fans love to compare these things to the GG-1 and roast the NYCS. Even though these were basically tractor units to take the big passengers trains to and from downtown New York City without all of the smog created by the steam engines. !*roll-laugh*!

...Very neat idea though.

Awesome find.
I love the old NYC boxcabs.
I wanted to build one ages ago but lack of interior shots was something that held me back.
Unfortunatly i've already got a load on my plate and buying a bunch of blueprints for another type and railroads boxcar has made me want to commit to it.
One for the future maybe.

Is that unit still hidden away?
I saw loads of pics and vids of it before and i'm sure i read somewhere it was going to get moved for preservation.
I think it's a bankrupt museums property it's on with some other units and stock.

Edit; should of read the article first as i think it was the same one i got my info from a couple of years ago **!!bang!!**
Also does anyone know the fate of the units now? The article is fourteen years old.
Frontrunner in the file library now!
