Can anyone do a BCOL Dash 8-40CM repaint from the EYEIN12 CN SD60F? If there's a payware one, I'll gladly pay for it! **!!bow!!** Note: I tried my hand at this and things went very wrong. I would be very thankful if someone could make this.

And why not repaint the DTG Dash 8-40CW instead of a SD60F?
Besides what is better than a Dash 8-40CW with the Searchlight Simulations physics and sound enhancement?

I am looking into repainting the SD60F, just to let others know. We'll have to see what's what.

I like the weathering on their units, but it lacks quality (look at the front of the cab and the color of the BCRail logo vs. the color on the hood). I will see what I can do, and if successful, I will do some weathered jobs as well.

!!*ok*!!

Need to fix a whole bunch of things on my repaint. The way it's mapped, unfortunately, makes the handrails, bell, and class lights all have red and white stripes on them. They must be using a portion of the nose... Anyhow, everything else looks alright, I guess.

Then how come Chris and Jerries doesn't have stripes on them?

They do, just look at the nose from the screenshot provided by suzukisk.

It's too bad that the mapping on lots of locos makes them hard to repaint. Just take the MP36 for example.

This is just a guess, but could you use decals for the stripes? That might fix it...

Actually, that is not a bad idea. The white stripes on the nose could be placed as a decal which would keep the nose texture red. Unfortunately I don't make decals, nor do I know anything about placing them on a model.

Maybe once I finish, someone can help with the decal? !*don-know!*

Because the carbody, cab, trucks, and just about everything besides the prime mover is completely different? Even painting up a SD60F as a C40-8M is a fairly massive stretch in my opinion and has kind of gone beyond as being qualified as 'close enough.'
