Hey everyone.
Playing on Cajon Pass and the Pacific Surfliner route, I noticed Railworks seems to have an absence of much BNSF EMD power. More notably SD40-2s. I was wondering if any of these existed. And if they do, could somepne please point me in the right direction?

Let's see, where do we begin...

There's http://store.steampowered.com/app/222577/

And http://store.steampowered.com/app/24012/ which is included with the Cajon Pass route now

Well. I was going to say check his location but I can see hes in the US. You cannot purchase BNSF DLC on Steam anymore outside of the US. Which really sucks for me. Im from Canada and learned that I cannot use a CSX repaint because it relies on the BNSF DLC to be able to use. I know some private addon makes have been forced to enforce this policy too and when you go to sites like Amazon and all that to try and purchase it off site, it says its not allowed in your country.

Thanks Buffett.

I hope you're joking about Buffett.

Anyway in the time it took you to write this, you could have subscribed to a VPN service and purchased your BNSF DLC.

Yes, but, Chacal, on Steam, when you buy something it asks me to verify that I live in the UK, I have to tick the box it won't let me carry on without ticking it, and I also have to put in my country for payment and any responses and the Paypal approvement and Steam's own message goes to my email address that ends in a .co.uk address, so, they know where I live, how can you circumvent this nationality thing on Steam, I don't want to have to pay for this VPN thingy and not be able to use it.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

- take a free gmail account for your purchases;
- tick the box;
- use a VPN service that offers a free trial;
- I don't know about Paypal, I use a credit card. Maybe get yourself a prepaid credit card.

Right. But I have also heard that when you try and install it Steam will block it. Not sure if that part is true though.

*EDIT*

Had to Google it. Turns out if they catch you using a VPN your account goes bye-bye. Someone did find a way around it.

If I recall, with the BNSF addons, any you purchased before the change of the legal terms are yours to keep and use. But if you try to add it in game afterwords you would have to connect to Steam via a VPN everytime. Because Steam keeps track of the date the addon was installed. BUT lets say I visit the US, buy the DLC there, use a US address, then bring my laptop back to Canada. Would I be able to use it once Im back in the land of igloos? That Im not sure about. It would depend if its got an Only Purchaseable or Only Run In block. But seeing as how my BNSF addons work now I cant see it being an Only Run In problem.

Or you know, BNSF can just stop being bird poop on a black car and just let us have our fun. **!!2cents!!**
