Ok, I have a few screenshots to show what I have got done so far. The Britkits payware locomotives I have used are the 2-8-2 Heavy Mikado, 4-6-2 Heavy Pacific and the 4-8-2 Heavy Mountain (not pictured.). I also have been working on the DSGDDR freeware 2-8-0 Consolidation, using the repainted tender provided by Buzz.

As a matter of fact, I used the yellow color that Buzz used when he added the "L. & N." to that tender, for all of the numbers and lettering on the BritKits units as well, so they all "match" in that respect.

I am still having trouble figuring out how to make the DSGDDR consolidation use only 3 digit numbers instead of the 4 digit numbers it uses as a PRR locomotive. If anyone knows how to make this work, please let me know.

Thanks,
David

Make a letter "X" which is a blank by making the alpha layer all black. Add it to the list of numbers in the PRR H10s Numbers bin by copying the number nine description changing it to X in two places and changing the id to 407. now you make your dcsv folder to just say X123 and so forth.

Hello,

Well, here are screen shots of the 4-8-2 Mountain and 2-8-0 Consolidation. Thanks again to Buzz for helping me get the numbering fixed. If you all approve, I will get these sent in so they can be made available on the site.

Just to be clear, I used the Heavyweight versions of BritKits 4-6-2 Pacific, 2-8-2 Mikado and 4-8-2 Mountain. The tenders, of course, are the freeware ones also available on the BritKits site and they would be the same for both the Lightweight and Heavyweight locomotives. The 2-8-0 Consolidation repaint is for the DSGDDR, PRR H10.

Let me know what you think.

Hello everyone,

To all that are interested, I have sent the link with the repaints I have done to Chacal so he can post them here on the site.

Included will be simple repaints for 3 sets on the BritKits USRA tenders. One set for the 2-8-2's, one set for the 4-6-2's and a set for the 4-8-2's. And by "sets", I mean that the numbers that appear on each so-called set are numbers I have actually seen in photo's for the corresponding locomotives. Not all road numbers are included, just some for each type. All I did for these "repaints" was to change the color of the numbers and add the "L. & N." to the sides of the tenders.

Also included will be simple repaints for the BritKits Heavyweight 2-8-2 Mikado's, Heavyweight 4-6-2 Pacific's and Heavyweight 4-8-2 Mountain's. Again, all I did was change the color of the numbers and give each "repaint" the same road numbers that the corresponding tenders have. If you only have the Lightweight version of these locomotives, you would just need to make a new stand alone version of them like I did for the Heavyweights and then just use the textures for the numbers that I made along with the road numbers I gave each.

And lastly, with help from Buzz whom made the initial repaint of the DSGDDR PRR H10s tender, I have included three tender repaints and a single repaint for the H10 locomotive to go with them. I used the yellow color that Buzz used for all of my repaints so that they all match.

I hope you enjoy these once they are posted,
David

P.S.,
Now, if someone can tackel repainting the BLE 0-6-0 and slope-back tender, we would have a good set. Also maybe the Smokebox 2-8-0 Consolidation.
