Pullman HW Sleepers

Unread postby buzz456 » Wed Feb 21, 2024 11:25 am

I sure wish someone would make a HW Pullman sleeper or two. We seem like we have every kind of railroad car in the USA somewhere except for no sleeper cars. I'd put it on here as a donationware and split the take with anyone who would do this. !!*ok*!! !!*ok*!!

If my memory is still valid! I believe that a few were available on MSTS.
The person that did steam loco conversions from MSTS to TSClassic could be an option.

Ironically enough, the only freeware pullmans for MSTS/open rails are also made by britkits. I think a new set of pullman heavyweights should be a high priority for modelers.

What about the cars with the Boston & Albany route? I've done a couple of reskins for the RPO.

It would be lovely. I would be happy to provide reference assistance as my time permitted for anyone willing to undertake such a project, done properly. Help with fittings, underneath equipment, rivet patterns, interior details, light fixtures, window patterns and plans, etc. TS has so many incredible assets, but when one considers how many heavyweight Pullmans there were (~7,900) and how prevalent having at least one on the back of a cut was, it shows how much is missing from TS.

Maybe the suggestion should be directed to Machine Rail. Given the content they are producing, heavyweight Pullmans would be a perfect companion to their steam projects.

That would have to be a comission tho which Machine Rail don't accept right now until the current queue is finished.
