No one knows why the current E&LS owner is still holding on those two units.
He does seem to be a fan of Baldwin diesels, the E&LS had a lot of them.
He is very hostile to railfans, because some of them broke into the premises and stole valuable items, such as the RF16s' builder plates.

I found a rumor on Trainorders.com:
"someone on this board with connections to the current owner of the Sharks assured everyone that their future was secure, which was understood to mean that they have been promised to some museum when the current owner is through with them."

Those are all gorgeous repaints. !!*ok*!!
I'm not well-versed in US railroads, so could someone tell me on which of the currently available TS routes should I run these beauties, to be as prototypical as possible? Thanks.

- Pennsylvania: Horseshoe Curve
- D&H:
- NYC:
- Monongahela:
- B&O:

- Pennsylvania: Horseshoe Curve
- D&H: None (unless minerman goes ahead with his D&H route and even then I'm not sure they ran that section)
- NYC: None (at least until RailWanderer & company finish their NYCS route)
- Monongahela: Penn Coal (they were the original owners of the line)
- B&O: Technically the Kingwood branch but that by itself isn't really a B&O line to begin with at least in real life... It was part of a now defunct/abandoned railroad called the West Virginia Northern.

Ultimately you can run anything anywhere but if you want to be prototypical your not left with many options with the sharks.

You can run the B&O on the NERW Lafayette.

Thanks guy!

Penn Coal it is, then, until Lafayette is published.
It does seem like the natural place to haul coal with RF-16s in all their liveries, as Monon got them from NYC, and connected to both B&O and PRR.

And I've just decided that from time to time after 1972, Monon borrowed back 1205 and 1216 from D&H, when they were short a few HPs.

I'll get the TS Marketplace: Norfolk Southern Coal District Scenario Pack 01 Add-On, which is on sale at 40%, and some Workshop scenarios, and swap the Sharks in.

Lafayette is in the library.
As far as the NS Southern Coal District, I got to messing around with it thinking I wondered how it hooked up with the Monongahela then started looking at old maps and said wow this is the MGA. The mines are still there and in place approx where they are supposed to be. I had first thought this was kind of boring until I tried pulling fifty loaded cars from Bailey Mine with the Sharks with no dynamic brakes. Interesting skills needed. Consol Energy owns the mines now but they are still there and producing if you care to look them up.

Just an idea, might not the Riverside, Waterton and Atlantic have acquired a couple of RF16s if only on demo?

We aim to make her Pretty. In the early diesel days Baldwin tried to sell the Sharks by painting them up in the railroad's paint scheme. RWA ran them for a short period of time mainly hauling the ore cars from the mine down to the harbor but ultimately decided to go in a different direction. However they are a historical footnote of the RWA.

Good work Buzz! Your repaints for this locomotive are all great! I'm really looking forward to the RWA one as it's one of my favorite routes to "play" on with all the different locomotives and rolling stock that have been painted for it.

But are you also planning on releasing your repaint for the EJ&E? It would be cool to have the whole set you've done.

Yes sir. Sometimes I just keep looking and fiddling but they will all be there. RWA one going up in the next couple of days. It's done.
