Actually no. If I was to base this off a model railroad it would have to be the "dechutes central" which predates most forum users here. It was supossed to be part of a inter connected 3 part layout run by my dad and grandfather. The layout ALMOST came to frutation but alas, never did. My dad currently has his old loop layout from when he was a kid.
The CRL ,however, is purely fictional.

I was wondering because I was thinking about doing something like that. My dad and uncle have built/are still building since 88, a heavy branch line in the Appalachian mountains mainly dealing with coal called the Roanoke and western. Definitely wouldn't mind running them on ns coal district or horseshoe curve. Maybe even lease some to CRL

I've created a sample repaint using the Colorado flag scheme, but my scenario editor is not working so I can't display a picture.
