RCAP v2 Available

Unread postby RCAP » Mon Oct 14, 2013 8:21 am

Meant to post this over the weekend. *!embar*!

A long time coming, RCAP v2 is now available in the RWA file library. Items include several dozen new buildings, clutter objects, signal sets, and our first set of rail vehicles: Triple Crown Road Railers! Be sure to look over the documentation, as we've cleaned things up and have added our first series of guides, tutorials and links to useful resources.

You are encouraged to create routes using these files, just so long as none of the RCAP files are used for commercial purposes. All files included with the RCAP download are released and protected under the Creative Commons Public License. For further info, please refer to the included documentation.

Although the files have undergone exhaustive testing, there's bound to be something we overlooked (bugs, typos, etc.). If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns please let us know. Above all else, have fun! :D

*!question!*

I downloaded it and I cannot get it to extract from the folder for actual installation, I tried extracting the file inside to install it and it never appeared to where I was trying to extract it to. **!!bang!!**

So I cannot get it to install because I cannot get the file out of the zip folder.

!*don-know!*

I can't do anything with the zip file until I delete the entire zip file and give up, how can you install it if you can't get anything inside the zip to extract out????

Right-click and select "Extract to here..." - if that option isn't available, download a copy of WinZip.
Cheers!

not that I want to sound mean... but I wouldn't use winzip if it were the last app on the world. OK, so I will be mean. I wouldn't give Corel another penny of my hard earned money.

7-Zip is a better alternative:

I want to thanks the RCAP team for all their work. I've been constructing McDonald's and 7-11's all over the Pacific surf liner route,(they are much needed) and was wondering if any location signage for the stores will be offered in the future? I saw the 7-11 sign on someone's screen shots, but not in the list. Also, I have some fresh billboards inserts that I would like to see added to your single pole/double face structures. Is this doable?
The nondescript and dull signs that came the route are ridicules.
Again Thanks to all involved. Your work makes RW look much more realistic.
